Richard D. Greenberg, 73

DEERFIELD BEACH, FLA. – Richard D. Greenberg died on May 4, after a courageous 28-month battle with glioblastoma (brain cancer). He was the beloved husband of Marilyn (Tolman) Greenberg for 51 years.

 

He was the adored father of Jodi Greenberg. He was the brother of Irwin Greenberg of Boca Raton, Florida, and Narragansett. Richard was the son of the late Myer and Irene Greenberg and the brother of the late Drs. Melvin and Allen Greenberg. He was predeceased by his two sons, Kenneth and Jeffery.

Richard was born and raised in Providence and lived in Pawtucket and Narragansett before moving to Florida a few years ago where he enjoyed playing tennis and bridge.

He was involved in real estate investments for more than 50 years with his brother and partner. He belonged to the Knights of Pythias for many years and is a member of Congregation Beth David in Narragansett.

He loved sports, ice cream and most of all his family. His family was his #1 priority. He will be loved, missed and remembered by all who knew him.
