Samuel Bernstein, 91

MANVILLE – Samuel Bernstein died Aug. 23. He was the husband of Colleen (Charpentier) Bernstein.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Louis and Annie (Bernstein) Bernstein, he had been a resident of Manville since 1979.

He worked at the former Health-Tex in Cumberland and the former Embassy Bar in Pawtucket.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Force.

He was a member of Mishkon Tfiloh.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister Anita Stein of Providence, his brother Robert Bernstein of Tamarac, Fla., and his nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jack and George Bernstein.
