Dark chocolate is good – in moderation

Posted

While chocolate is not usually considered a healthy snack, eating dark chocolate in moderation can be good for us.  Dark chocolate contains a variety of antioxidants that prevent damage in your body caused by harmful waste products. Furthermore, these antioxidants may reduce your risk of developing chronic diseases such as heart disease and cancer. When choosing a dark chocolate, look for a cocoa content of 80 percent or higher; this contains the least amount of sugar.

Chocolate milk also can cure your chocolate craving. Chocolate milk provides vitamins, electrolytes, protein for muscle repair and carbohydrates to replenish energy stores.
