Arlene Guttman, 90

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. – Arlene Guttman, of East Greenwich, died Jan. 10 at St. Elizabeth Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Alfred Guttman. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Samuel and Leona (Wollner) Clebnik, she had lived in East Greenwich for 3 1/2 years, previously living in Framingham, Massachusetts. She was among the founding members and earliest employees of the Danforth Museum in Framingham, and she retired from Citizen’s Bank at age 83 after providing exemplary customer service for 25 years. Arlene was a member of Temple Beth Am, Hadassah and B’nai B’rith.

She was the devoted mother of Risa Guttman-Kornwitz and her husband, Dr. Norman Kornwitz, of East Greenwich and the late Karla Hergenrother. She was the dear sister of the late Myra Bromfield. She was the loving grandmother of Jenna Kornwitz, Alyssa Kullgren and the late Jacob Kornwitz. Contributions in her memory may be made to NEADS, P.O. Box 1100, Princeton, MA 01541.
