PROVIDENCE – Joshua Rubin, of Brooklyn, N.Y. Born in Providence, he was a son of Leon (Phyllis) Rubin of North Grafton, Mass. and Sandra (Ben Zion) Taube of Pawtucket.
He had been a resident of Brooklyn for four years where he owned and operated Whisk Bakery Café. He was a graduate of Classical High School and the Alperin Schechter Day School in Providence, and UMass Amherst. He was a former member of Temple Emanu-El.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his sister Hilarie Rubin, of Attleboro, Mass., and his brother Jonathan Rubin, of Arlington, Va.
